I’m Brennon Chapman, General Manager of Homer Skelton Hyundai and Genesis in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
The car business has always been part of my life. My grandfather, Homer Skelton, spent more than 50 years building his name and dealerships in this community. We have always been locally owned and operated, and I grew up watching how much he believed a business should invest in the people and community that support it.
Before coming home to the dealerships full-time, I spent nearly a decade in college football.
From 2012 through 2020, I worked with Ole Miss Football in recruiting and player personnel, eventually serving as Assistant Director of Player Personnel. When Lane Kiffin was hired following the 2019 season, I was retained on his staff and spent about a month helping with the transition. Lane offered me a multi-year extension and a raise to stay at Ole Miss, but by then my heart was pulling me home.
My grandfather was getting later in life and wanted me to come back and work alongside him in the family business. In early 2020, I made the difficult decision to resign from Lane’s staff and return to the dealerships.
My grandfather passed away in November of that year.
I will always be grateful I came home when I did. He got to see me return to the business that carried his name and meant so much to him. I had no idea how short that window would be, and it makes the opportunity to continue what he built even more meaningful today.
Since returning, I’ve worked throughout dealership operations, including sales, BDC, desking and management. In March 2025, I became General Manager of Homer Skelton Hyundai and Genesis.
A lot of what I learned in college football still shapes the way I lead. Recruiting is about people. Leadership is about people. Whether you are building a football program or a dealership, success comes from high standards, development, accountability and creating a culture people want to be part of.
At Homer Skelton Hyundai, my goal is to make the car business simpler and better. Customers should understand what they are paying, know their options and feel like they were treated fairly.
I also believe a locally owned dealership has a responsibility beyond selling cars. This community supported my grandfather and our family for decades, and we are proud to give back to local schools, churches, organizations and causes throughout North Mississippi.
I’m incredibly proud to continue my grandfather’s name and the legacy he spent his life building.
Away from work, the most important part of my life is my family. I’m married to my wife, Celeste, and we are raising our family here in North Mississippi. We have our daughters, Kinleigh and Collins, and our son, Leo, is on the way. My faith, family and community are at the center of who I am.
And while I left college football professionally, I never really left it behind. I’m still an Ole Miss fan and still fascinated by recruiting, coaching, roster construction and the business of college football.

I’m fortunate to raise my family where I grew up, work in a business that has served this community for generations, and help carry forward the name and legacy my grandfather left behind.
